Usher (* 14. Oktober 1978 in Chattanooga, Tennessee; als Usher Raymond IV.) ist ein US-amerikanischer R&B-Sänger, Schaupieler und Tänzer. Den Durchbruch schaffte Usher durch sein zweites Stuioalbum My Way das Platz 4 in Billboard 200 erreichte. Die Singleauskopplungen You Make Me Wanna... und My Way erreichten Platz 2 in den Billboard Hot 100. Die Single Nice and Slow erreichte sogar die 1 und blieb dotz für 2 Wochen. Aus seinem Album 8701 (2001) U Remind Me und U Got It Bad erreichten Platz 1 der Billboard Hot 100. Beide Singles verkauften sich über 8 Millionen mal weltweit die ihn zum erfolgreichsten R&B-Sänger der 1990er Jahre machten.[1]
